What is Leadership on Campus?

Leadership on Campus is an annual publication designed to recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations that are driving innovation and excellence within school systems. We aim to highlight the dedicated personnel whose work not only supports but also leads the charge in transforming education. The magazine serves as a platform for sharing stories of leadership, fostering collaboration, and offering resources to help educational leaders overcome challenges, innovate, and elevate their organizations.

The term Leadership on Campus was coined by its late founder, Steven Johnson. Steven envisioned this idea to inspire and empower both current and future leaders in the education sector who would therefore have a lasting impact on the students they interact with each day. As Steven once said, “Leadership on Campus empowers, educates, and inspires leadership on campuses to elevate both faculty and students, equipping them with the tools to excel in their personal and professional journeys to change the world.”


Our goal is to foster these ideas into the new Leadership on Campus magazine, showcasing groundbreaking initiatives, best practices, and success stories that can positively impact school systems across the Southeast.

The publication is released annually, with an emphasis on practical insights and inspirational content that speaks directly to the needs and challenges faced by education professionals.
